Many real-estate agents treat the FSBO owners as enemies, and somehow the same is true for the FSBO owners. I believe we should all work together.

I talked to many agents during the period I was selling my house. They all tries to lure me into signing a listing contract with them. But then I made my position very clear. They could bring potential buyers to me and I would give them commission. But I would not sign any listing contract.

I also seized the opportunities to ask them to share with me their opinions on the real-estate market, also their experiences and stories.

BTW, I just found out your blog, which I have added to my blogroll. It is so good to find people with the same passion.

Especially in todays current market I think people are using realtors because they are confused what to do and questioning every step of the way due to current lending crisis affecting the real estate industry. People are cautious and want to buy at the right price and feel an agent can best represent the market and there home sale.

A realtor on a daily basis is constantly in touch with current market value street by street as they sell the plethera of foreclosures.
